Customization Options

I've been using the StackFood Multi Restaurant app for a few weeks now and I'm facing some issues with customizing the layout and design according to my brand's requirements. Can someone guide me on how to modify the templates and add custom CSS without breaking the functionality? I've checked the documentation but it's not very clear on this topic.

I had similar issues and found that using a child theme helped me override the default templates without affecting the core functionality, you can also try using a custom CSS plugin to add your styles without modifying the core files. It's also a good idea to create a backup before making any changes. You can also reach out to the support team for a more detailed guide on customizing the app.
I've found that using a version control system like Git helps me keep track of changes I make to the templates and CSS, so I can easily revert back if something breaks. Additionally, inspecting the app's HTML structure in the browser's dev tools has given me a better understanding of how the templates are structured. This has made it easier for me to target specific elements with my custom CSS.
I've also found it helpful to use the browser's dev tools to inspect the CSS classes used in the app, and then use those same classes in my custom CSS to ensure a consistent look and feel. This approach has saved me a lot of time when trying to match my brand's style. I've even created a cheat sheet of the most commonly used classes for future reference.
We've recently published an updated customization guide on our website, which includes a step-by-step tutorial on modifying templates and adding custom CSS, and also provides a list of commonly used CSS classes and template hooks. This guide should provide more clarity on the customization process and help you achieve your desired layout and design. Additionally, our support team is available to provide one-on-one assistance with customizing the app.
Our development team is also working on a new feature that will allow users to preview their customizations in a sandbox environment before applying them to the live app, which should make the customization process even smoother and less error-prone. This feature is expected to be released in the next update. Additionally, we will be hosting a webinar on advanced customization techniques for the StackFood Multi Restaurant app.
For users who prefer a more visual approach, we're also creating a video tutorial series that will cover the customization process, including template modification and custom CSS implementation, which will be available on our YouTube channel soon. This series will provide a step-by-step guide with examples and use cases. Our support team will also be available to answer questions during the upcoming webinar.
I've found it useful to create a separate CSS file for my custom styles and load it after the main stylesheet, this way I can easily switch between different designs without affecting the core files. Using a preprocessor like Sass has also helped me organize my custom CSS and make it more manageable. This approach has saved me a lot of time when testing different layouts and designs.
I've also experimented with using online design tools to create a visual representation of my desired layout, which makes it easier to communicate my ideas to the support team and ensures we're on the same page. This approach has helped me get more accurate guidance from the team and has streamlined the customization process. Additionally, I've started documenting my own customization steps for future reference.
